Late Professor Dr. Subhash Bhalchandra Ranade, born on June 27, 1940, in Wai (District Satara), Maharashtra, India, was a distinguished academician and clinician in the field of Ayurveda. He earned his Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (1963) and Master of Ayurvedic Science (1973) from Pune University. With over 55 years of dedicated work in Ayurveda, his career began as a Medical Officer at the Primary Health Center in Pawas (Ratnagiri), where he served for six years, treating thousands in rural communities and educating them on preventive healthcare.

He later held academic positions for 20 years at Tilak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Pune, and for 10 years as Principal and Professor at Ashtang Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He also served as Professor at the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences and as Head of the Department of Ayurveda at Pune University.

On January 11, 1996, he founded the International Academy of Ayurveda (IAA) in Pune to promote Ayurveda and Yoga globally.

Late Professor Ranade held several prestigious appointments:

A prolific author, Late Professor Ranade wrote more than 178 books on Ayurveda and Yoga, published in multiple languages including Marathi, Hindi, Malayalam, English, French, Czech Republic, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian. He presented at numerous national and international seminars and was a Plenary Speaker at the 1990 World Research Foundation Conference in Los Angeles on "New Directions of Medicine—Focusing on Solutions.”

He contributed hundreds of articles to health magazines and journals in India and abroad and served as Consulting Editor for publications like Light on Ayurveda Journal (USA) and JREIM (India). He contributed to the first Ayurvedic CD-ROM Dhanvantari by Saffrounsoul and the film Ayurveda Unveiled by Gita and Mukesh Desai (USA). He was also the author of several e-books.

Since 1983, Late Professor Ranade traveled to all five continents and more than 77 countries—including Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, and Japan—conducting hundreds of courses on Ayurveda for medical professionals, paramedics, and for the lay man.

Worked as visiting Professor at various Institutes and Universities Abroad –

Professor Subhash Ranade has given many television interviews on Ayurveda, not only in India (Arogya Sampada (Marathi), Niramaya arogya (Marathi), Apaka Swasthya (Hindi) but also in USA, Poland, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Greece, Romania and Chile. He has treated thousands of patients all over the World for chronic and acute diseases. Initially when proper Ayurvedic herbs and required purification procedures were not available and he had to depend on local herbs. He also found out that giving proper diet according to constitution and disease and following rules of regulations of daily and seasonal lifestyle could cure many diseases.

Dr. Sunanda Ranade is the Chairman of the International Academy of Ayurved, Pune, India, and a renowned expert in Ayurvedic gynecology and nutrition, with over 50 years of experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) and a Doctorate in Ayurveda.

Dr. Ranade has authored hundreds of articles on Ayurveda, which have been published not only in Indian newspapers and magazines but also internationally in countries such as Italy, Germany, and the United States. She is also the author of several books on Ayurveda and Yoga, published in Marathi, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Dr. Sunanda Ranade and the late Dr. Subhash Ranade are the only Ayurvedic couple to have visited the rainforest in Brazil to study medicinal plants, as well as to visit a renowned research institute in Manaus

Dr. Sunanda Ranade has conducted numerous courses on Ayurvedic gynecology, nutrition, and massage therapy for both physicians and the lay man across various countries. She has also made significant contributions to Dhanvantari, the first multimedia CD-ROM on Ayurveda.

Professor Dr. Gunvant Yeola is the Director of International Collaboration and a Professor in the Department of Kayachikitsa (Ayurvedic Internal Medicine) at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Center, Pune, India. He is also a Distinguished Member of the Advisory Board as well as a Member of the Event and Promotion Committee for the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation (IMAVF), Netherlands.

Holding an M.D. and Ph.D. in Kayachikitsa along with an M.A. in Sanskrit, Professor Yeola brings over 25 years of teaching experience and is a recognised postgraduate and Ph.D. guide, under whose mentorship 25 postgraduate and 4 doctoral students have successfully completed their degrees.

He has previously served as a Board of Studies (BOS) member for Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik; Goa University, Panjim; and Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Ayurved, Pune. He is also the former Dean of the Faculty of Ayurved at Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (Deemed to be University).

With over 40 research paper presentations at national and international conferences and 35 publications in Scopus-indexed, Web of Science, and peer-reviewed journals, he is also the author of three books on Kayachikitsa. Professor Yeola has been honored with the “Award of Excellence” at the International Conference on Ayurveda and Yoga in Dubai (UAE) and the “Maharishi Dhanvantari Award” by the International Maharishi Ayurveda Foundation (IMAVF), The Netherlands, during the 8th International Ayurveda Congress held in Pune.

Additionally, he has successfully completed two research projects as Principal Investigator, funded by CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, focused on Sickle Cell Disease and Dyslipidemia.

Dr. Tarini Moghe has completed her BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and Master’s Degree in Ayurved Samhita and Siddhanta (Study of Classical Texts and Basic Principles of Ayurveda).

As a third-generation Ayurvedic practitioner, she brings a rich legacy of traditional knowledge combined with modern academic excellence. Dr. Moghe has participated in and presented research papers at various national and international conferences.

She has also demonstrated her practical expertise by participating in various Ayurvedic cooking competitions, where she has received accolades and prizes from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Additionally, she has conducted both online and offline lectures on Ayurvedic diet and nutrition for international students from countries such as Brazil and Portugal.
